廃校となった小学校をリノベーションしたインターナショナルスクール。スクールパーティションやRCの非耐力壁を撤去し、教室と廊下を仕切らないひとつながりの教室をつくった。仕切りを取り払った上で、分断されていたそれぞれの空間を強く結びつけつつ一体感を感じられるようにするため、空間全体に糸を織り込んでいくように照明を設置し、従来の教室という単位にとらわれない多様な教育活動のための学びの場をつくった。

Renovation of the international school using a closed elementary school. School partitions and RC non-bearing walls were removed to create a single classroom without dividing the classrooms and corridors. After removing the partitions, lighting was installed as if weaving threads throughout the space to create a sense of unity while strongly linking the separated spaces, creating a learning space for a variety of educational activities that is not bound by the traditional classroom unit.
