徳島県吉野川流域の農家古民家を、東京からUターンする施親の住まいとしてリノベーションする計画の一部。敷地内の建物を順次改修していく最初の工事としてまずは高齢の母親のための住宅を建てた。かつてこの場所に建っていた牛小屋の佇まいを引き継ぎつつ、隣地との塀を兼ねるRC壁に、鉄骨とデッキプレートによる屋根を掛け、木製サッシにより前庭に大きく開けた縁側スペースを作った。

Part of a project to renovate an old farmhouse in the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture as a home for the owner, who is making a U-turn from Tokyo. As the first step in the sequential renovation of the buildings on the site, a house for the elderly mother was built first. While retaining the appearance of the cow shed that once stood here, a steel frame and deck-plate roof was placed over the RC wall that also serves as a fence between the house and the adjacent land, and wooden sashes were used to create a large open porch space in the front yard.
